This module lays the groundwork for your fashion design journey,
helping you turn inspiration into a clear, cohesive vision. You’ll learn how to design a unified collection and explore the importance of research and influences, discovering how to translate trends, culture, and personal ideas into original concepts. Through creating moodboards and selecting color schemes, you’ll see how your ideas can be visually communicated before even touching a pencil to paper.
You’ll also learn how to organize your sketchbook as a creative tool, track your progress, and prepare your work for professional portfolio presentation. Finally, this module introduces the fundamentals of fashion sketching and illustration, giving you the confidence to begin translating your concepts into sketches that are both expressive and professional.

FASHION SKETCHING I MODULE 2
DRAWING GARMENTS
This module is where your fashion ideas truly begin to take shape.
Starting with the foundation of the croqui, you’ll learn how to sketch the elongated fashion figure that brings proportion, movement, and elegance to your work. From there, you’ll move into the art of drawing garments, exploring how fabric drapes, folds, and contours the body.
Each lesson is designed to guide you through sketching essential wardrobe pieces step by step, from jackets and coats to skirts, tops, pants, and dresses.
By practicing each category, you’ll build a strong library of skills that allows you to sketch complete outfits and collections with confidence.
